Family tips in Val Venosta - Holidays with the family

How exciting! - Discover the many interesting children's adventure trails in the Vinschgau Valley, because here you will realise that hiking is an exciting experience.

You can experience exciting things in the visitor centres of the Stelvio National Park, with special exhibitions and current events. There are also visits to castles and palaces, excursions to waterfalls, play lakes and much more!

  • Forest Animals Trail Gumperle
At 15 stations parents and children will meet the forest mouse, listen to twittering birds, challenge a badger tunnel, climb up the woodpecker hill and hold a deer's antlers. The round trail is 2 km long and can be easily done in 1.5 hours with the family.

  • Prato Nature Experience Trail
Small scientists get to know the forest and culture on three round trails with a total length of 4.5 km. 18 interactive stations provide an insight into the living spaces forests, animals and woods.

  • Talai Forest Adventure Trail in S. Valentino
On this 3 km long round tour 12 stations await old and young for playing and discovering interesting facts. Zipf and Zapf accompany nature scientists on the buggy-proof trail.

  • Animals & Farmers
On your own with the animals.... In the Stilfs and Trafoi wildlife enclosures and on farms.

  • Watles Adventure Mountain

The Watles Adventure Mountain offers plenty of variety: game lake, washing gold, diamond grotto, foot trail, adventure slide, 3D bow course and great hiking trails!

  • Churburg
Churburg Castle in Sluderno offers the worldwide largest private armoury collection and a fairytale-like arched passageway.

  • Stelvio Pass Nature Park
In the Aquaprad Nature Park House in Prato everything is about fish. Avimundus in Silandro is a bird so-to-say. Culturamartell tells the life of farmers. Wood and forest are the focus in Lahnersäge. And Naturatrafoi is dedicated to the topic of living at a border and the geology in the Ortles area.

  • A circular trail leads to the Trafoi waterfalls past the three holy wells. The Parcines Waterfall with a height of 97 m is very impressive: depending on the amount of snow that melts from 4,000 to 10,000 l of water per second falls down the rocks!

  • Hiking along the irrigation channels is fun.
  • Ship ahoy on Lake Resia.
  • Rafting, canyoning, kayaking, wild river tubing and hydrospeed.
  • Cycling along Via Claudia Augusta, easy… cycling along Via Claudia Augusta. You return by train!
  • Climbing in the forest rope garden in Allitz/Lasa and the high-rope climbing park Ötzi Rope Park in Val Senales.
  • Minigolf in Prato, Solda, Silandro and S. Valentino alla Muta
  • Horse riding in S. Valentino, Silandro and Spondigna
