Regional specialities, local products, quaint customs ... at Camping Südtirol Sägemühle, summer is drawing to a close. Now nature in the South Tyrolean Val Venosta (Vinschgau) shows its full power! From the alpine pasture to the meadows of the valley floor - nature creates unique products everywhere, shaped here and there by man. The Vinschgau people know how to make spicy alpine cheese out of wholesome milk, how to produce real Vinschger rye, fragrant "Paarlbrot", honey sweet "Piirnschnitz" from dried Palabirne pears, white cabbage fermented into juicy, healthy sauerkraut, crisp apples harvested and turned into a strudel. The people of Val Venosta know where their traditions are and how to live in the National Park alongside wild animals and they also know how to party - with the traditional Törggelen (wine harvest walk) and the young wine.
